Strike Day One Recap

At 10am on Tuesday, October 9, the Chicago Lyric Opera Orchestra members hit the streets for Day One of our strike.

Lyric musicians on strike, as seen through the lens of renowned photojournalist Del Hall:

The Lyric Orchestra Brass Ensemble played throughout the day.

In the nick of time, Mark Shuldiner, harpsichordist extraordinaire, bought and brought lunch for all of the striking Lyric Opera Orchestra musicians.

Media came rolling in for interviews with our stellar spokespersons: Amy Hess, Katie Brauer, and Lewis Kirk.

By the next morning, Slipped Disc proclaimed:

"Musicians Win Day One"

Thank you to all of our supporters!

Fight on Lyric Opera Orchestra Musicians!
