Hollywood House Quartet Concert

One of the things we love best as musicians is to share our music in small, personal settings with our audience, where we can all see each others' faces and everyone can feel the vibrations from the instruments in their bodies.   In December we connected with Hollywood House, a building that comprises affordable housing units for seniors, when we partnered with Random Acts of Flowers to bring plants and music to the residents.  We enjoyed it so much that we made arrangements to come back and play more music this April.  We spent a delightful afternoon playing chamber music with our audience gathered close around us, and afterwards everyone shared a lunch prepared by several of the residents.  We heard more about the music they love and their family members who have studied or performed, and answered questions about ourselves and our musical journeys.

Violinists Heather Wittels and Bing Jing Yu, violist Amy Hess and cellist Calum Cook perform.  Here, Heather answers questions from Hollywood House seniors.
